Laamu Dhanbidhoo School has conducted “The Little Star Camp” for the key stage 1 students in a successful way. It was a study camp and the students were taught to pray, follow good habits and to respect each other. They stayed in school premises for 3 days. They took food and bath in the school itself. It gave them a divine experience and motivation. The MNDF and the Police of Isdhoo came at the third day. They gave some special training for the kids like swimming and safety instructions. They ate with the kids and the full day they were engaged with different activities. It was very useful for the students and they enjoyed a lot.
It was the first time the kids were away from their parents. They liked it very much and the best thing is they had learned how to share their feelings to others. The parents thanked the teachers and the school management for making it as a successful event.
L.Dhanbidhoo school had celebrated its English week in a grand manner by the help of the school management, parents, staff members and students. Every year the English department conducts so many activities for the students to improve their communication skills, writing and reading. The students were categorized into three groups under three houses. The houses were Velaana, Dhoshomeyna and Faashana. For each house there were 8 trainers. They gave excellent training to the students. The programmes were story telling, word building, rhymes telling, reading, drama, spelling bee and debate. The students were eagerly participated in all activities and showed their talents. It was an unbelievable performance from all students. Debate competition was so interesting and it made the audience to think more. Dialogue competition was powerful and it made everyone to laugh. The parents were surprised about their kids performance and they greeted the trainers as well as the English department for their excellent effort. Finally L.Dhanbidhoo school principal Mr. Saji Thykeel delivered the speech and the programme came to end.
